goodmorningpapua.com – A member of Commission I of the House, Effendi Simbolon, said that the government’s efforts to develop infrastructure in Papua were considered insignificant for the Papuan people themselves. He asked the government to learn from the United States.
“Try to learn from other countries such as America pampering Alaska, America pampering Hawaii, America pampering Guam, those are the forms of approach they take to prevent the seeds of rebellion from the Alaskan community, Hawaii, I think such ways should be done. We use it,” said Effendi in a discussion, Thursday (23/9).
He gave an example of how the government builds sports infrastructure for the National Sports Week (PON) in Papua. In his opinion, the sports facilities built still seem to lack promotion.
The PDIP politician said PON could be a momentum to attract the hearts of the Papuan people. By establishing good sports facilities, the Papuan people can see the seriousness of the government in developing Papua.
