Lemhannas is Developing a Special Study on Papua

goodmorningpapua.com – The National Defense Institute (Lemhannas) is currently conducting a study on Papua according to the direction of the Vice President (Wapres) KH Maruf Amin. The special study on Papua focuses on four topics of discussion, namely the green economy, blue economy, digital transformation, and democracy for Papua.

“We are carrying out the directive, we hope that in the not too distant future we can convey the results of our study on Papua,” said Lemhannas Governor, Andi Widjajanto, during the vice president’s general lecture to Participants in the Regular Education Program Forces (PPRA) 63 and 64 of 2022 at the Gajah Mada Auditorium, Lemhannas Pancagatra Building, Central Jakarta, Tuesday (7/6/2022).

Andi said the study could be used as the basis for making policies for the next government. Apart from Papua, he continued, Lemhannas focused on five studies, namely on the green economy, blue economy, digital transformation, consolidation of democracy, and also the defense of the Indonesian capital city (IKN).

“It is hoped that with the direction of the Vice President, our commitment to build a peaceful Papua, a prosperous Papua,” said Andi. For him, the presence of the Vice President is an honor for Lemhannas. This is because PPRA 63 and 64 participants are prepared to become national leaders in the next three to five years.

Presenting at the event were the Main Secretary of Lemhannas Komjen Purwadi Arianto, a Head of the Vice President’s Secretariat Ahmad Erani Yustika, Deputy of National Level Leadership Education Major General Sugeng Santoso, Acting Deputy (Plt) Deputy for Government Policy Support and National Insights for the Vice President’s Secretariat, Lukman Hakim Siregar, and a special staff of the Vice President Communication and Information Sector, Masduki Baidlowi, and other Lemhannas officials.
