Improving the Papuan Economy via the Logistics Sector – A Directorate General of Sea Transportation through KSOP Class II Jayapura steadily provide a technical assistance for the implementation of the Program of Sea Toll and Multi-Moda in Papua Province. This is to improve the economy in Papua through the logistics sector.

A Head of KSOP Class II Jayapura, Taher Laitupa said in the framework of the technical series of logistics distribution implementation through the Program of Sea Toll and Multi-Moda in Nduga Regency, his party conduct a direct coordination and virtual meetings attended by the Regional Government (Pemda) and related stakeholders. ‘” The meeting agenda discuss the  follow-uping action for the National Strategic Program of the Trans-Papua Sea Toll Road which has been programmed and is running on the Route & Acceleration of Development 2021 in Nduga Regency,” said Taher in his written statement, Tuesday (10/8).

The agenda includes the logistics distribution process for rice from Merauke to Nduga and the refugees in Wamena Jayawijaya, the process of dispatching materials for the construction of church worship facilities by the Nduga Regency Government from Tanjung Perak Port Surabaya – Pomako Mimika – Mumugu/Batas Batu Nduga.

Taher revealed that currently the Regent of Nduga Wentius Nimiangge steadily improve physical development and also empowers local communities to participate in the development and education of human resources for Nduga children by continuing to coordinate with the Ministry of technical institutions, one of which is the Ministry of Transportation.

Taher also hopes that as a Regional Coordinator at the UPT-UPT of the Directorate General of Sea Transportation in the Papua Province region, of course the Trans-Papua Sea Toll Program and also the Multi-Moda that has been running so far must  be developed on and on and used by the community in regencies located in mountainous areas like Nduga Regency, Jayawijaya Regency and Puncak Regency as well as other regencies in coastal areas such as Merauke Regency, Mimika Regency, Fak-Fak Regency, Supiori Regency, Sarmi Regency and Jayapura Regency as well as other regencies which are currently growing and increasing the use of toll sea.
