Herman Yoku, a Papuan Leader Who Reminds of the Meaning of Diversity in Independence Month

goodmorningpapua.com – A Papuan traditional leader Herman Yoku invoked the people of Earth of Cenderawasih to maintain diversity in Bhinneka Tunggal Ika at the 76th year of the Republic of Indonesia.

According to Herman, the age of 76 is no longer young and the people of Papua are grateful to the government of the Republic of Indonesia, for the joys and sorrows they have shared.

“With this message, we also ask groups who always convey their wishes to the Indonesian government, hopefully it won’t happen again. Moreover, Papua has been independent all this time,” he said, Wednesday (4/8).

At the age of 76, Papuans are expected to respect the heroes who fought for and won Indonesia’s independence from Dutch colonial rule.

“Let’s join hands, maintain Indonesia with diversity in the framework of Bhinneka Tunggal Ika,” he explained.
