A Regent Association of Central Mountains of Papua Asks for Health Workers to be Evacuated

goodmorningpapua.com – The Regents Association of Central Mountains of Papua hopes that health workers and educators in Kiwirok District, Bintang Mountains Regency, Papua, will be evacuated to safer places immediately.

A Head of the Regents Association of Papuan Central Mountains  Befa Yigibalom said the Bintang Mountains Regents are expected to immediately draw medical personnel and educators in the area around the incident to the capital of the Bintang Mountains Regency, namely the Oksibil District.

“Indeed, the land route from Kiwirok District has not been connected to the surrounding area, so areas like this must be taken seriously,” said Befa in a press release in Jayapura, Saturday, September 18, 2021.

According to Befa, his party also expressed condolences and gave high respect to medical personnel, especially the victims who had lost their lives and hoped that their families would be given strength.

“The Association of Regents for the Central Highlands of Papua strongly condemns this action,” he said, who is also the Regent of Lanny Jaya.

He explained that the incident was the act of a person who did not believe at all. He hoped that the security forces would arrest the perpetrators and bring them to justice in accordance with applicable law.

“This escalation in the Bintang Mountains Regency needs to be taken seriously by various parties and taken decisive and measurable action so that it does not leave the seeds of the same violence,” he said.
