goodmorningpapua.com – A team for the Distribution of Sacrificial Animals (THK) from Dompet Dhuafa Papua has started to distribute to slaughtering locations since last Friday (8/7/2022). Some of the targeted locations are Indonesia’s easternmost border line with the State of Papua New Guinea (RI-PNG).
The distribution process is carried out under the supervision of Indonesian National Armed Forces (TNI) personnel. The THK Dompet Dhuafa team is said to have coordinated with residents in the border area.
In addition to the border, the distribution of sacrificial animals in Papua also includes other remote, isolated and deepest areas. Not to forget, THK is present in the midst of the converts.
One of the locations that became the distribution point of THK was in Pikere Village, East Arso District, Keerom Regency. Other distribution points are in Maribu Village, West Sentani District, Jayapura Regency and in Okaba District, Merauke Regency.
A Head of the Dompet Dhuafa Papua Branch, Umayra Maulida Sabatiyah, said that as many as 86 sacrificial animals equivalent to sheep/goats (doka) have been successfully distributed to locations that deserve sacrificial meat.
In addition to the Central THK team (Jakarta) who were also present to help ensure the distribution was right on target, DD Papua also mobilized other Dompet Dhuafa networks, such as dai Cordofa, DD Volunteer, Free Health Service (LKC) personnel and others.
“God willing, we have prepared everything thoroughly. In fact, we are also coordinating with the TNI and local community leaders so that we can reach further and more beneficiaries who have no sacrifices in their area,” said Umay in a statement obtained by Republika, Sunday (10/7).
In another place but still in the same time zone, one of the Dai Cordofa Dompet Dhuafa who is currently on duty in Merauke, is on his way to Okaba District, Merauke Regency, another THK distribution point. There, many people are converts to Islam, so it is appropriate for THK to be present to increase their Islamic stability.
