2.037 Students in Manokwari Receive the Smart Indonesia Program Assistance

goodmorningpapua.com – A total of 2.037 elementary to high school students in Manokwari Regency received an educational assistance from the Smart Indonesia Program (PIP) in 2021.

The Regent of Manokwari, Hermus Indou, said that the Smart Indonesia Program was an aid from the Central Government through the Ministry of Education and Culture as a working partner of Commission 10 of the Indonesian House of Representatives to assist local governments.

The Smart Indonesia Program is also one of President Joko Widodo’s excellent programs in 2014 which is intended for underprivileged students.

“We should be grateful because the Ministry of Education and Culture approved the names of students and students who were proposed as recipients of educational assistance proposed by the Manokwari Regency Government,” Hermus said while reading his remarks, Wednesday 15 September 2021.

Hermus hopes that the assistance from the Smart Indonesia Program can ease the burden of education costs and encourage students to study harder. He also advised that the Smart Indonesia Program assistance should be used as well as possible to support the learning process.

“I remind students receiving the assistance  not to look at the amount given, but the most important thing is the attention given by the government,” Hermus said.

The chairman of the Golkar faction, Suryati Faisal, said that the assistance for Manokwari Regency had not been fully achieved, especially in the field of education. This is because the data obtained has not yet entered Dapodik.

“We went to schools some time ago, but a lot of the data we entered was not recorded at Dapodik. Maybe for the head of the education office, please pay attention,” said Suryati Faisal.
